The BBU Rector, Acad. Prof. Dr. dr. Ioan-Aurel Pop, inaugurated on Wednesday, March the 4th, 2015, the BBU campus within the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin. The event took place in the presence of a large academic, diplomatic and political audience, students and representatives of the media in Berlin.

The opening of the BBU Berlin Campus represents a further effort of the BBU leadership to develop international partnerships for ensuring, firstly, a higher quality of education and research, and secondly, an extensive European and international communication. Thereby, new integrative scientific and cultural programs in collaboration with European and global partners emerge, providing new opportunities for UBB graduates.

At this point, Babes-Bolyai already offers, along with the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy, a master program of cultural diplomacy. The presence of the BBU Rector at this event marks the expansion of the program at undergraduate and doctoral levels as well as for applied scientific research in international relations, political science, European studies, business, communication etc.

The BBU Rector, Acad. Prof. Univ. Dr. Ioan-Aurel Pop and Ph.D. Puscas, Director of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy of UBB, participates at the Economic Forum, which will take place between the 4th and 7th of March, 2015 in Berlin. The main topics addressed this year are "Creative Economies, Sustainable Tourism & Foreign INVESTMENTS". In this context, the Rector of BBU will give a lecture on "History and Nation Branding - the Romanian Case", while Professor Vasile Puscas, former chief negotiator of Romania with the EU (2000-2004) and former Minister of European Affairs (2009), will speak about "Nation Branding and Global interconnectedness".
